Art, mosaics, local flavours and an unforgettable evening in one of Abruzzo's most beautiful hill towns.

Join artist and guide Dionne Swift for a relaxed evening discovering the hidden treasures of Tornareccio, affectionately known as La Regina del Miele – the Queen of Honey.

As a practising artist living in Abruzzo, Dionne shares the stories behind the mosaics, the artists and the village, offering a unique perspective that goes beyond a traditional guided tour.

Famous for its extraordinary collection of over one hundred contemporary mosaics, Tornareccio has become an open-air gallery where art and everyday life exist side by side. This unique experience combines contemporary art, local food traditions and the warm hospitality of one of Abruzzo's most welcoming communities.

The afternoon begins with a visit to Apicoltura Tieri, where you'll discover the story behind Tornareccio's honey-making heritage while enjoying a guided honey tasting and aperitivo.

From there we'll explore exhibitions and installations before setting off on a leisurely guided walk through the streets of Tornareccio, discovering many of the spectacular mosaics that make the village internationally renowned.

We'll finish the evening together with an optional dinner on the panoramic Belvedere terrace at La Fortezza, sharing delicious local pizzas while watching the sun set over the surrounding hills.
