Drawing PART 2 OCTOBER

Thank you for your support and enthusiasm for my live online drawing classes - your feedback thus far has been humbling.  I am incredibly pleased to be able to offer you a second collection of Drawing Classes.

In this second edition of 4 lessons we will be exploring a broader range of media whilst still refering to some of the stable principles of drawing and composition through observation in the Landscape and still life scenarios.  You will continue to build your confidence within the drawing arena developing a broad base of knowledge. During August we will be approaching similar situations from a variety of angles offering an extended perspective and further opportunites to embrace the fundamentals of drawing/observational techniques. This time: Atmospheric Perspective, Tone, Marking & identifying 'place/creating brushes/tools, Drawing analysis.  Your sketchbooks will be heaving...

Join me on the next 4 week journey to enliven your creativity and find joy in observing and recording the world around you.  Each week I shall demonstrate a new technique and talk you through a series of approaches with references to both my own work and other Artists.  We will use our Facebook group to share work and support each other.

We will continue to use fairly basic materials that you will be able to pull together at home: paper/sketchbook, pencils [HB, 2B, 8B if you have them availble], tracing paper/baking parchment, fine line pen or biro, black or brown paper, any type of paints/dyes/inks, charcoal or conte, an eraser/putty rubber,scissors, glue/glue stick .  Remember it's not what you use, it's how you use it that's important!
