About the event
Italian Creative Summer School: An Artistic Adventure in Abruzzo
Discover the enchanting region of Abruzzo, Italy, while embracing the art of drawing with a needle and painting with thread—a transformative experience celebrated by past participants:
"I struggle to articulate the magic of Dionne's Italian Summer School. Italy was incredible—the food, the location, the hospitality, but above all, the amazing teaching. Dionne opened my eyes to a fresh way of looking and sketching, reducing me to joyous tears twice on this course."
Creative Focus: Stitch and Scenery
With a strong stitch bias, this Creative Summer School seamlessly combines location-based exploration with hands-on Free Machine Embroidery techniques. Renowned for expressive and adventurous machine stitch methods, I'll guide you through a range of techniques, ensuring you leave with a diverse toolbox of machine mark-making possibilities.
"Dionne's Summer School has been a great success, inspiring, motivating, and challenging. Dionne is a brilliant teacher, and this week has enabled me to develop an exciting repertoire for future work."
