✨ Printing with Found Objects

A playful and exploratory morning of printmaking using the etching press, inspired by the textures and quiet details found in everyday life.

This workshop invites you to look differently at the world around you — to notice surfaces, patterns, and forms that might otherwise go unseen. From natural elements gathered outdoors to small domestic fragments, even the simplest object can reveal something intricate and unexpected when passed through the press.

Working with a selection of found and personal items, you’ll experiment with composition, layering, and pressure to create a series of unique printed pieces on paper. The process is both intuitive and surprising, often producing results that feel delicate, detailed, and entirely one of a kind.

Guidance will be offered throughout, with demonstrations of techniques and examples to inspire your own exploration. No prior experience is needed — just a curiosity to play and discover.

You are encouraged to bring along a small collection of objects that interest you: leaves, fabrics, lace, threads, paper, or any materials with texture and character.

All specialist printing inks and paper are provided.

Held in a small group at Casa Rondine, there will be plenty of time and space to work with the press in a relaxed and supportive setting. Refreshments are included.

This is a workshop that rewards experimentation — and often reveals unexpected beauty in the most ordinary things.
