I have spent the morning photographing and uploading hand painted scarves to my shop.
It always takes ages - each one is unique and I like to photograph them in an array of different wrapping styles: tied, flung, draped etc etc.
Each one has it's own character and style, showing my hand painted mark making and composition on fine Italian wool [please don't ask where I get it, I have a supplier tucked away in the heartland of Abruzzo!] I paint with dyes that I apply directly to the cloth, I let them dry and then add more...when I'm happy I can steam fix and wash the fabric, finish the edges and add my signature to the painting.
Each one is approx 190cm long and can be cold washed by hand or machine, followed by a warm iron.
