Murano Glass & Sterling Silver Earrings
Handmade Murano glass beads are combined with elegant, minimal forms in sterling silver to create a pair of contemporary earrings.
The striking two-tone beads have an almost ceramic quality, though they are in fact handmade artisanal glass. Each is paired with a clean silver ear wire, creating beautifully balanced, wearable pieces.
While studying in Venice, I was lucky enough to visit a specialist bead maker in Murano — not open to the public — where I was able to view and select a small number of these exceptional beads by hand.
The bi-cone forms feel distinctly modern and sit outside the traditional image of Venetian glass. Each bead is individually made; no two are alike. I’ve carefully matched them into pairs, and these final few are the last available.
And yes — everyone asks if I’ve read The Glassblower’s Daughter. Not yet… but it’s on my list, promise.
A limited and thoughtful pair, made to be worn and treasured.
