Several months ago when I was studying in Venice, I heard of a special glass bead artisan in Murano: not open to the public but I was lucky enough to get an appointment, search through and select my favourite pieces.
These beads have an undulating surface and matt exterior : individually made, no two are alike but I’ve matched them up into pairs….they don’t follow the usual image of Venitian glass, I think that’s what I like so much about them.
